OCTOBER CAMP
2024

Join us for an unmissable cycling adventure on the beautiful Balearic cycling Island of Palma de Mallorca, Spain. We are hosting two camps in October. You can come by yourself, bring a partner or a friend or come as a group. We cater for all.

This is more than a camp. Last year’s group included 20 cyclists and non-cyclists from the UK, Switzerland, France, Portugal, Canada, and the US. We came together as individuals and left as friends – staying in touch and sharing treasured pictures long after the camp. Many are planning to come again in 2024.

My name is Mani Arthur and I am your tour organiser for this incredible camp. I am looking forward to hosting you on this tour. Mallorca is like a second home, and I cannot wait to share the wonderful secrets of the island with you. I first fell in love with the island in 2014 and have since travelled there on 15 occasions hosting many camps for various groups since 2021.

I have been cycling since I was a child and have been fortunate enough to ride my bike in more than 20 countries traversing five continents. I started racing competitively in 2014 as an amateur and have been extremely lucky to race internationally against some of the sports greatest riders while representing Ghana in the 2019 African Games and 2023 Commonwealth Games against the likes of Tour de France winner Geraint Thomas and the greatest sprinter of his generation in Mark Cavendish. I founded Black Cyclists Network in 2018 to create a space to encourage black and brown riders to get involved in cycling.

“The trip is over and I am still struggling to find words to define this cycling experience. "Epic", my go-to, seems lacking."

Why Mallorca?

Mallorca is widely considered a dream destination for cyclists across the globe because of the island’s picturesque mountains (a UNESCO recognized world heritage site), beautifully maintained roads, sandy beaches, and good year-round weather. Pro Teams like Team INEOS visit every winter for their pre-season training camp. Mallorca is also a firm favourite with the GCN crew and is home to the biggest sportive in the world, the Mallorca 312. The island is beaming with culture, beautiful people and delicious mediterranean food. There are plenty of things to do outside of cycling which makes the island a great place for the whole family.

Our customers Bruce put it best when he said, “you have left something behind if you miss this camp and die tomorrow. This is an experience that anybody that calls themselves a cyclist should have!”

The Route: Journey through mythical climbs, rolling hills and country lanes and fast roads.

I have carefully curated six of the best cycling routes on the island using the best local knowledge and years of experience to make sure you do not miss a thing. These routes provide a wide variety of terrain and charm so each day will feel completely different from the previous day. The routes have also been designed to give your legs a break after a tough day of climbing. For example, Day 1 is relatively tough medium/hard day with plenty of climbing. As a result, Day 2 will be a flat easy day to give your legs time to recover before you take on the toughest day of the camp in Day 3 epic hard ride in the mountains to Sa Calobra followed by a easy/medium difficulty ride to the town of Arta on Day 4.
