Our Mission

On 20th October 2018, a group of black riders came together from different parts of London to answer Mani Arthur’s call to start a movement aimed at helping riders of colour get into cycling. Black Cyclists Network (BC) was formed soon afterwards. We exist to make cycling a more diverse and inclusive sport by bringing together cyclists of colour and laying down the foundation to inspire and encourage a global community of cyclists to take up cycling. BCN is a majority black organisation, but we are not exclusively black in our makeup. We welcome riders from all backgrounds irrespective of race, gender, religious belief, sexuality or social/economic status.
We hold group rides every Saturday morning at 08:00am in Regent’s Park, London. Come and ride with us.

At the Black Cyclists Network (BCN), Our aim is to connect cyclists from Black and Minority Ethnic (BAME) background. We also want to use our platform to encourage people of colour to take up cycling. We are a majority BAME club, But don’t let that put you off. We are an inclusive group. We welcome supporters and members from all backgrounds who share our vision.

The BCN Committee

The BCN Committee is made up of 7 members. Their role is to ensure the running of the BCN London chapter. The committee meet frequently to discuss club matters to ensure our members get the best experience and can cycle safely. The BCN Committee members were formed of established members, feel free to contact them or speak to them directly at one of our BCN rides.

"We are from different backgrounds, professions and each bring our experience and knowledge to make a well rounded team. We are here for our members and are working together to continue the BCN mission"
